The Port of Seattle organizes first Seattle & Washington State stand for World Travel Market

The Port of Seattle, which directs the UK representation for Seattle and Washington State, is taking its first ever stand at World Travel Market this year.

Out to make waves, the Seattle and Washington State stand at NA150A will be introducing the best of the Pacific Northwest, showing the state’s urban excitement complemented by national parks, volcanic mountains, rainforests, rolling hillsides, wild Pacific Ocean beaches, historic seaport towns, resident orcas and cruises to Alaska. Tastebud-tempting cuisine, award-winning wines and delicious home-roasted coffee are all part of the experience.  Washington wines will be poured on the WTM stand during the Brand USA reception on Tuesday from 4pm.

Delegates on stand will include:

  • Ron Peck, Port of Seattle
  • Patti Denny, Port of Seattle
  • John Boesche, Visit Seattle
  • Andi Day, Long Beach Peninsula
  • Meagan McGuire, Seattle Southside
  • Annette Pitts, Cascade Loop Scenic Highway
  • Leslie Womack, Mayflower Park Hotel

The Seattle/Washington team will be supported by UK representatives, Caroline Corfield-Rose and Angie Colombo of Core Communications Ltd.

A new Washington State International Guide will be launched at WTM – the first of its kind for this state. The Guide will be available on the stand and also distributed through key media this winter, helping the industry better market the jaw dropping destination.

Alongside the new International Guide, the Port is launching a new UK website aimed at providing industry and the consumer with a gateway to Seattle and Washington;

A representative from Virgin Atlantic will be on the WTM stand each afternoon from 3pm to answer questions about their new Seattle flight launching March 2017 and featuring the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
